Valmiki -- a poet? ? ? !

We know what an epic is right? Like ---
  • The hero is outstanding. ...
  • The setting is large. ...
  • The action is made of deeds of great valour or requiring superhuman courage.
  • Supernatural forces—gods, angels, demons—insert themselves in the action.
  • It is written in a very special style.
  • The poet tries to remain objective. . . . . and ajsg$%$%$%#% . . . .(what?)
The poet is considered to be great, the creations are considered to be even greater. With such explanations we think of our Ramayana as the same -- a great epic from India. Valmiki was the poet. Is that it? Do you actually believe that? If yes then why? If no, question remains the same. Isn't it over-simplification of the truth?

Except the hard-core non-believers, who by force remain ignorant though life and nature continue to surprise them every now and then, we all must admit that the world that is sensible through our senses is not the only one. Sometimes we feel, but ignore what always happen around us. The lack of consciousness in our minds result that. More a mind is conscious more certain it is about the hidden facts around us. It is true that the real Truth deep inside rests in peace. It is always hidden, guarded. From the very beginning of the mankind, people tried to find that out in their own styles. Some succeeded, some pretended to. Others are always out of our equation. They are just some ignorant people ready to believe anything or fool themselves anyhow. But what about them, who got lucky?

The rShis of India were one of them around the world, who got lucky or achieved it by their perseverance. The term "saint" doesn't define them at all. rShis, some humans whose consciousness reached those restricted areas of universe. "DRaSHTA" were the rShis, the ones who had visions. People who explain it as hallucinations, are the ones who are so eager to prove their small limit of knowledge and large amount of ignorance. rShis like Shukracharya, Markandeya retrieved some precious jewels from the darkness and handed it over to us, like "Mrutha-sanjeevani Vidya", "Swapnavati tatwam" or "UtkarshaNa prayoga" etc. Thus the rShis were some humans who were something more than humans. When they say something that is inevitable. Each and every move made by them is significant to the mankind. So can we actually believe that one or two of them created something just because of their fantasy or imaginations? Is it possible for a man, who never cared for anything in the world but wisdom and achieved such consciousness which we would not even think about, to write something completely out of his fantasy? If one still considers them as merely humans or super-humans with so called magic-powers, dude, you need to get more mature.

From our level of consciousness, it is impossible for us to measure their boundaries until they let us. And they did. Some of them shared what they experienced and some of them didn't. Some of us try find some historical proof of some legends from Ramayana. I still don't understand why. Because if Valmiki experienced it, then there must be a way to experience it again. None of us try that but chant Ramcharit-Manas, or scream with fake atheism. The Ramayana is not just an epic. You can't put it in the same row with the Iliad and Odyssey. May be it is not an epic at all. It is more like a doorway to somewhere where two princes of Ayodhya is learning the Aditya-Hridayam from their guru Agastya or a bramhin from far southern India is reaching the Kailasa mountains to show his salvation in his own style or something more. Just a poetry? Just an epic? Only those believe it who just want to keep themselves in the darkness of ignorance when the darkness of wisdom is more attractive, subtle and adventurous. . .. . . .

How was the journey, mate? .....      ;)
